Hawaii Adventurous Couples Session | Amelia + Esil

WHAT A FUN NIGHT! The backstory: Jesus and I were preparing to execute our permanent change of station with the military and were living in a hotel in downtown Waikiki for TWO WEEKS. Talk about paradise! I didn’t have to clean anything and we got to eat out almost every night–we may have gone a little overboard on the debt freedom celebrations and spent too much money. But hey, YOLO!

While we were staying at the Courtyard Waikiki Beach we met these two amazing Aussies–Amelia + Esil. They were on “holiday” (as they liked to call it–so much fancier than us) for a little over a week in Waikiki and we met the them in the “spa” (another fancy Aussie term) aka the hot tub to all of us common folk. We started chatting about life and all that Oahu has to offer and decided to meet them for margaritas (WOOT WOOT) the next night. Best. Decision. Ever. They introduced us to a place we had actually never been before and it was amazing. We then proceeded to continue to another bar for more fun! This was right around the time that I was DYING to find people to model for me and I wanted to see what my camera was truly capable of at night so I begged them to let me take pictures of them (even though that’s super weird because we had only known each other for about 5 days at this point). And they were super chill about it! And that is how I now have these pictures in all of their glory.

Amelia + Esil, Jesus and I are so glad we met you! I’m so glad you have at least a couple of memories from your time on Oahu, I have only improved my skills since we last met so the next photos will be MUCH better. We can’t wait to come visit you in Australia one of these days. Until then!
